March Madness, Crawfish, and Giving Back: Client Appreciation Crawfish Boil
Hosted at Scott Hammel's home in University Park, our March Madness Crawfish Boil brought together clients, family members, and friends from across Dallas-Fort Worth for an afternoon of crawfish, basketball, and community.
One of our favorite traditions each year is gathering clients, family, and friends together for great food, meaningful conversation, and time spent with the people who make our firm special.
This spring, clients from throughout Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Southlake, Grapevine, Highland Village, and surrounding communities joined us for an afternoon of March Madness basketball, Louisiana-style crawfish, and an opportunity to give back.
What began as a simple client appreciation event turned into something even more meaningful.

A Dallas Tradition
There are few things that bring people together in Texas quite like crawfish season.
Set in the heart of the Park Cities, the event provided a relaxed setting where clients could step away from busy schedules, reconnect with friends, and enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon together.
As guests arrived throughout the afternoon, March Madness games played in the background while families gathered around the patio, conversations picked up where they left off, and first-time attendees quickly became part of the group.
The event featured more than 120 pounds of crawfish, complete with corn, potatoes, sausage, and all the ingredients that make a spring crawfish boil such a staple throughout Dallas and the broader North Texas community.
For many attendees, the highlight wasn't necessarily the food or the basketball. It was simply the opportunity to slow down and spend time together.
More Than A Client Event
At Apeiron Planning Partners, we believe financial planning is ultimately about helping people build lives they enjoy.
Retirement planning, tax planning, investing, and wealth management are important tools, but the real goal is creating opportunities to spend time with family, friends, and the people who matter most.
Events like our annual Crawfish Boil allow us to step away from conference rooms and spreadsheets and simply enjoy time together. It reflects something we think about often — as we explore in our article on the emotional side of retirement, the relationships and experiences that make life meaningful are ultimately what financial planning is designed to support.
We are incredibly grateful for the relationships we've built throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth community and for the clients who continue to trust us with important financial decisions.
Giving Back Together
This year's event also included an opportunity to support Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization focused on providing meals to children facing hunger around the world.
For every pound of crawfish served, Apeiron Planning Partners committed to making a donation in support of the organization.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we were able to donate $1,238 to Feed My Starving Children — a contribution that helps provide approximately 4,268 meals, enough to feed 11 children a daily meal for an entire year.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the day was seeing how a simple gathering of friends, families, and clients could create a meaningful impact beyond our own community. For families thinking about how charitable giving fits into their broader financial picture, moments like this serve as a reminder of why those conversations matter.
Why Community Matters
One of the things we enjoy most as a Dallas-based financial planning firm is creating opportunities for people to connect.
Whether that means gathering around a crawfish table in University Park, exploring local businesses in Richardson, playing pickleball in Grapevine, or spending an evening at Topgolf Dallas, these events allow us to strengthen relationships and build community beyond financial planning.
While retirement planning, tax strategies, and investment management are often at the center of our work, the relationships behind those conversations matter just as much.
Our planning process is built around long-term relationships — and we have found that some of the best conversations happen away from the office, around a dinner table, at a community event, or while watching a basketball game with friends.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's March Madness Crawfish Boil.
